I. preventive check-ups and assessment of health condition for the purpose of assessment of fitness to work

• initial medical examination, periodical examination and special examination
• exit medical assessment (post-employment)
• medical examination after finishing of a risk work (following examination)
• so called complementary medical preventive examination of employees, who are classified by the Decision

Regional public health authority of the Moravian Silesian region as a risk work. A new law Nr. 373/2011 Coll. Has been accepted in the field of work healthcare. This law is about specific health services. All work healthcare has been covered by employer since the validity of this law.

Jobs included in the risk category

Employer, which has jobs listed according to § 37 Art. 2 law Nr. 258/2000 Coll. about protection of public health (so called risk work) which belong to the category number two – risk, third, or fourth, secures providing of so called complementary work health preventive examinations according to the concrete Decisions of the Regional public health authority of the Moravian Silesian region based in Ostrava.

SAGENA Ltd. provides, in particular, these specialized medical examinations in the frame of the complementary work preventive examinations:

• Water cold test – risk of vibration
• Pletismographic stress methods – risk of vibration
• Reflexive heat vasodilation – risk of vibration
• Spirometry – risk of dust, inhalation allergens, welding smoke,
• Audiometry – risk of noise
• ECG – risk of heat stress, firemen examinations etc.
• EMG – risk of vibrations and local muscle stress (is being prepared as compulsory in a new decree)

These examinations are made by the top medical devices. The evaluation of fitness for a risk work of employees is done by specialized doctors with according attestation. We also provide many other examinations according to your demands.

II. the assessment of influence of work activity, work environment and work conditions on health

SAGENA Ltd., in coordination with employers according to given measurements, or done expertise, including results of classification of occupations, provides analyses of work conditions, work environment, and response of the workers’ organisms and assesses health risks at work. If we find out that there is such a change in work conditions, which negatively influences, or could influence employees’ health, we suggest measures to minimize the risks to the employer and furthermore we evaluate their efficiency. SAGENA Ltd. provides diagnosis of work environment factors at accredited laboratories.

III. regular supervision at workplaces and supervision of work performance or service

SAGENA Ltd., in cooperation with specialists, provides supervision at workplaces and supervision of work performance or service.

We assess compliance of conditions of health protection at work, which are set by the decisions of institutions of protection of the public health in the frame of the statement of the classification of occupations.

IV. consulting focused on health protection at work and protection against work injuries, occupational diseases and diseases connected to work.

SAGENA Ltd. provides complete consulting services in the area of work risks and their prevention with physical, chemical and biological factors of work environment, as well as in the area of physiology and ergonomics of work.

As a part of a health support, SAGENA Ltd. offers, active approach to no-smoking, smoking cessation counseling, counseling linked to increasing of physical activity, prevention and check-ups of obesity, healthier nourishment, prevention of cancerous, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, vaccination etc.

V. first aid training

SAGENA ltd provides first aid training, the first part consists of theory about proceedings in life threat of the patient from various reasons (injury, suffocation, acute heart-attack etc.), followed by practical training. The training is extended to other problematics according to the request. This means according to the specialization of the work focus of the company (poisoning, chemical burn, drug problematic, etc.)

VI. providing cooperation with institutions of public health protection

SAGENA ltd. provides cooperation with locally appointed institutions of public health protection.
